AVIC-S2 Software Update for Speed Camera Location
This software updates your AVIC-S2 with the most recent locations of fixed speed cameras.
System requirements: PC with Windows 2000 or XP and with a USB port.
Follow these easy steps:
- Make sure that you install the 'Pioneer Sync Manager' on your PC (a disc was supplied with the AVIC-S2) before starting. Once Pioneer Sync Manager is installed on your PC, check that your PC recognises the AVIC-S2 via Microsoft ActiveSync .
- Download the Speed Camera Information Tool here and save it to your PC.
- Unzip the file.
- Turn on your AVIC-S2 and connect it to your PC.
- When Microsoft ActiveSync asks if you want to 'synchronize the data?", select 'No'.
- Run “POI-Warner Speed Camera Updater”
- Select your language (currently only English, German and French are available), as below:
- Once the software detects the AVIC-S2, this screen will appear:
- Select “Install” only on “Fixed Camera” section and click “Next”. We recommend that you do not change anything on the “Mobile Camera” section.
- Once the software has been updated, you can begin using the speed camera location function on your S2.

Caution:
In some countries, the use of systems that give drivers advance warning of Safety Cameras (which includes speed cameras and other type of cameras meant for traffic control) may be prohibited. Germany , Switzerland , Austria , Ireland , Czech , Denmark , Poland , Portugal and Slovakia , Slovakia do not have speed camera locations

We provide this speed camera function using a third party service. By activation of the function, you also accept the Software and Database End User License Agreement (which was included in the original packaging of your AVIC-S2)
