I get a message on the screen of my navigation unit 'Caution: screen image may appear reverse' when using my rear view camera. Can I remove this message?

No, this is not possible, because of safety reasons. The navigation unit doesn't know which camera (mirror or not) is connected and therefore it displays this message.
