I inserted a new navigation map disc and my system will now not recognise my original map disc.

Once an upgraded map disc has been inserted, it can not recognise older map discs. If you want to access the older map disc then a factory reset is needed. This reset has to be done by your dealer or an Authorized Service Centre.
