FAQ - Navigation

I installed the navigation unit in another car, but the unit acts strange and doesn't stay on the road.

When you install a navigation unit in a new car, you need to reset the calibration values that were created in the previous car.
1. Go to MENU
2. Select SETTINGS
3. Select HARDWARE INFO
4. Select 3D CALIBRATION STATUS
5. Select DISTANCE and push CLEAR
6. Select SPEED PULSE and push CLEAR
7. Select CALIBRATION STATUS and push CLEAR

Should you still experience difficulties:
- Check if the GPS antenna is properly connected and if the satellite reception is OK
- Clean the navigation disc carefully (in case of scratches: replace the disc)
- Turn off the engine, take out the key and press the reset button of the navigation unit with a pointy object
- If the speed signal is connected : check the connection and the pink wire (if this is OK, disconnect it and try without the speed pulse)
- Check if the speed signal is properly connected
-For AVIC-X1, AVIC-X1R, AVIC-X1BT, AVIC-X3: check if the hideaway box is mounted in the right direction
