Why is it taking so long before my AVIC-S1 navigation unit switches on?

Please use the standby function rather than switching the unit off. In order to ensure good satellite reception, keep the unit near to the window or outside the car for a short time. This will accellerate the correct positioning.
When bad weather, it might take a little longer.
