FAQ - Television - KURO

How do I remove after image from my plasma?

After image will gradually disappear by itself when watching regular film or TV broadcasts. If you want to speed up this process, perform the following steps:

1) Set the screen on an untuned TV channel, so that snow is on the screen. Set the Contrast on 50, Brightness on +20 and the colors on +20 or you can change the AV mode.
2) Disable power control - no signal off: DISABLE. To prevent the plasma from switching off automatically.
3) Set Picture - AV selection to DYNAMIC.

Leave this image on for several hours (recommended is one night). The amount of time that is needed to remove the after image is depending on the intensity of the after image. It could be gone after one night or itcould take a week.

This phenomenon is present on every plasma, no matter the brand.
In meantime, the after image effect has been tremendously improved and the latest KURO (Flat Screen) TVs are hardly sensitive for it.

Note: there is no special procedure for Kuro plasma's. Just set the contrast, brightness and colour at a low, but acceptable level.
