What is HDMI and HDCP?
HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface)= uncompressed digital audio and video data which are transferred via one cable.
HDCP (High-Bandwidth Digital Content Protection) = a digital copy protection system to avoid copying digital data.
If two devices are connected via an HDMI cable and one of the devices is not HDCP compatible then no audio or video may be sent or received.
