First winner of DJsounds.com competition
DJsounds' Space Ibiza DJ competition finds its first contender welcomed by ace of clubs Danny Tenaglia!

With his new single, 'The Space Dance', the Futurism compilation and his 2008 Be@Space residency all turning heads, last Thursday the torch-bearing DJ's DJ Danny Tenaglia was perfectly placed to shine a light on rising star Lewis Ryder, the first winner of DJsounds' video competition.
This summer the DJsounds.com competition gives four DJs a chance to perform at Space in a bid to win a 2008 residency at the illustrious club, and 22-year-old Lewis Ryder from London is the first contender.
The result was a dream trip for the up-and-coming DJ/producer, who jetted out to the white isle and onto the fabulous sound systems of Space...
Said Lewis: "Winning Heat 1 of the DJsounds.com competition was incredible and Space was amazing. Kicking it out in the Red Box was a great way to start the night and later Danny Tenaglia even got me to play a track in the main room with him - whilst shouting my name over the mic! It was insane, an experience to say the least."
Definitely one to watch, talented young blood Lewis DJs regularly at events like Jaded at The End in London and since 2006 hosts his own night, Hindsight, at clubs like Egg. Lewis' own productions, meanwhile, have been making fantastic progress, garnering support from the likes of Nic Fanciulli, Laurent Garnier and Hernan Cattaneo. What's more, 'Empty Draw', the track that Lewis used in his DJsounds mix will be released on his new label, Bigger Deer Recordings, this August!
