Compared to conventional digital noise reduction systems that mistake tricky elements from the original source, such as a shooting star trail, Pioneer's Digital Noise Reduction controls these mistakes at the base level to reproduce images faithful to the original.
MPEG Noise Reduction reduces mosquito noise unique to MPEG compressed video images, an especially useful function when viewing digital satellite broadcasting.
