The VSX-818V-K includes our unique MCACC system, which stands for Multi-Channel Acoustic Calibration. At the touch of a button, the MCACC will optimally tune the amplifier to the size of your living room space and speaker placement. The result sounds like a professional recording engineer has fine-tuned your system.
The VSX-818V-K is ready for you iPod; however
the main benefit is that the connection is digital, which guarantees a full digital transfer without intermediate digital-to-analogue, analogue-to-digital conversions;
what you hear is pure.
Whatever you are listening to, the audio you hear is enhanced and improved. The system has an Advanced Sound Retriever function, which up-converts compressed audio to CD-quality audio; ensuring that you benefit from quality sound, regardless of the original source. The Auto Level Control also eliminates any fluctuations in volume when you change the source (like between an MP3 player or radio channels, for example).
The VSX-818V-K also features HDMI Switching (2 in, 1 out) for crystal clear playback of 1080p video signals.
